Top Educational Games Apps in Kenya: Q3 2022 Performance

During the third quarter of 2022, Kenya's top educational games apps demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Kids Songs - Offline Songs experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 4.3K in the first week of August before declining to around 2.8K by the end of September. Active users also showed a similar trend, reaching a high of 7.3K in early August and then dropping to approximately 6.2K by the quarter's end.

Masha and the Bear Educational saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, climbing from around 1.7K in late June to 3.8K in mid-September before falling sharply to 1.1K in the last week of the quarter. Active users grew steadily, peaking at 18.1K in mid-September before decreasing to 13.1K by the end of the quarter. Notably, the app generated a small revenue of approximately $2 in mid-August.

Akili's Alphabet —Akili and Me maintained a relatively stable download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 1.7K to 2.9K throughout the quarter.

Coloring Games: Color & Paint experienced a peak in weekly downloads in early August at 2.8K, followed by a decline to 1.3K by the end of September. Active users showed an upward trend mid-quarter, reaching 9.4K in the week of August 15, before dropping to 6.4K by the end of the quarter.

Little Panda: Princess Salon saw its weekly downloads peak at 2.6K in early August, then gradually decline to 1.2K by the end of September. Active users increased from 427 in late June to a high of 3.2K in early August, before decreasing to around 2.5K by the quarter's conclusion.
